About Me
I was born in the Bronx, a borough of New York City. After graduating high school, I decided to move to Buffalo, NY to attend college at Buffalo State University. I lived in Buffalo for five years earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology and double minoring in Criminal Justice and Women and Gender Studies. After a gap year, I enrolled in a Forensic Psychology program at John Jay the College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
In order to pay for my post-graduate education, while in New York, I started a career in the Compliance sector of the Finance industry. While in my finance career, I worked for top financial institutions like J.P. Morgan, Brown Brother's Harriman, and Societe Generale.
Soon after completing my coursework, I was accepted into a fully-funded Applied Psychology and Prevention Science Ph.D program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell which culminated in earning a Ph.D in May 2021.
